Guidelines for Employment at The Wedgewood Club

Each summer season Wedgewood hires an amazing team of young adults and professionals.  See below for the available positions and to download a job application.

Lifeguards*:  Must have an up to date lifeguard certification, and be 16 years of age.  LifeguardMust be willing to work the front gate at times.

Swim Instructors*:  Fulfill the lifeguard qualifications, plus be WSI certified and good with children.

Swim coaches*: Fulfill the lifeguard qualifications, and have some competitive swim experience.

Snack Bar: Minimum of 15 years of age, and willing to work the front gate at times.  This position is always in high demand, because of that we are starting a two year limit on employment in the snack bar for most employees.  You will only be allowed more than two years in the snack bar if you are being kept on as a snack bar Manager candidate (which would require more years in the snack bar).  We’re looking to give more kids an opportunity to work in this position.

House and Grounds:  Minimum of 16 years of age. Experience with lawn equipment preferred.

Tennis: Minimum of 15 years of age. Tennis background and good with children.

Gate: Minimum of 15 years of age.  Gate workers should have a strong personality and be mature enough to control guest sign up.  This includes being able to stop members and request appropriate guest fees.
