Pool and Swimming Overview
The Wedgewood Club features three outdoor pools:
-
a shallow kiddie pool for children 6 & under
-
a dive pool
-
a large lap/recreational pool
In the summer, the Wedgewood pool offers many fun activities. Members can participate in youth swim lessons, swim and dive teams, lap swimming, free swimming, and youth games.
The main pool is open for free swim in the afternoons, starting at 1:00 pm.
In August, after swim lessons have concluded for the season, the main pool is open for free swim in the morning starting at 10:00 am.
The lifeguards will ask children under 16 to leave the pool for 15 minutes at the top of the hour for an “adult swim.”
For more information on free swim hours, check the Club Hours page.
Wedgewood’s swim and dive teams compete in the Colonial League against Concord, Wayland, and Chelmsford.
Swim Team runs from June until the first week in August and culminates with a league championship.
The Swim Team is a welcoming group that focuses on improving swimmers’ performance while having lots of fun. This website has information about the Swim and Dive Teams.
The main pool is open for adult lap swimming in the early mornings from late June until early August. A dedicated lap lane is also available during free swim.
Each member should familiarize themselves with the Pool Rules, found within the Club Rules, for essential guidelines on the pool test, age-related restrictions, flotation devices, and other common questions/issues.
