Guidelines for Employment at The Wedgewood Club

Each summer season Wedgewood hires an amazing team of young adults and professionals.  See below for the available positions and to apply online.

Gate:  Minimum of 15 years of age.  Gate workers should have strong personalities and be mature enough to control guest sign-up.  This includes being able to stop members and request appropriate guest information.

Gate/Youth: Minimum of 15 years of age.  Individuals should have strong, outgoing personalities and be willing to work at the gate and be self-motivated to run youth activities each afternoon and during special events.  Previous experience managing children is required..

Tennis Instructor/Coach: Minimum of 15 years of age. Tennis background and previous experience working with children.

Snack Bar: Minimum of 15 years of age, and willing to work the front gate at times.

Snack Bar Crew Leader:  (Minimum 16 years of age and 2+ years of food service experience)

House & Grounds:  Minimum of 16 years of age. Experience with lawn equipment preferred.  Individuals must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and hardworking.

House & Grounds Crew Leader: Minimum of 18 years of age.  Experience with lawn equipment. Responsible for scheduling and training staff members.

Lifeguards: Must have an up-to-date lifeguard certification and be 16 years of age.  Must be willing to work the front gate during rotations.  If you are applying for a lifeguard position, please specify if you are also interested in instructing lessons or coaching the swim team.

Swim Instructors: Fulfill the lifeguard qualifications and have experience working with children.  Must be available M-F in the mornings and be available to lifeguard.

Swim Team Coaches:  Fulfill the lifeguard qualifications, and have some competitive swim experience. Must be available M-F mornings as well as most Saturday mornings in late June to early August.  Occasional afternoon hours are expected, as well, and must be available to lifeguard.

Dive Instructor/Coach: Ideally be lifeguard certified and be available to lifeguard if needed. Must have experience with instructing children and have some competitive diving experience.
