Pools

The pool generally remains open during mild inclement weather and lessons will be held. At the discretion of the Club Manager, the pool may close and lesson canceled for the safety of members and staff if weather severity increases.

The pools will always close during electrical storms. At the first sound of thunder, lifeguards will instruct the swimmers to leave the pool. Typically swimmers are allowed back in the pool after one-half hour with no thunder/lightning.

Tennis Courts

If the tennis courts are deemed unplayable due to inclement weather conditions, the courts will be closed lessons will be canceled.

Please understand that if the courts are wet, even slightly, they are not safe for children to play on and can damage the tennis balls and equipment. After it rains, the courts need warmth and some sun to dry appropriately for safe play as well as to protect the tennis ball and equipment. Occasionally, the coaches may still hold lessons but move to the back field to work on footwork and other skills on the grass.

How Are Closures Communicated?

Club closures are communicated through the Club email llist and posted in the Facebook group.

While staff do their best to notify post in a timely fashion, there are times when Lessons will be canceled last minute due to unpredictable weather and we appreciate your understanding when this occurs. Please be assured we strive our best to keep last-minute cancellations to a minimum.
