Pool and Swimming Overview
The Wedgewood Club features three outdoor pools:
-
a shallow kiddie pool for children 6 & under
-
a dive pool
-
a large lap/recreational pool
Many fun activities happen at the Wedgewood pool in the summer – members can participate in youth swim lessons, swim and dive teams, lap swimming, free swim, and youth games.
Pool activities are coordinated and governed by the volunteers on the pool committee. To contact the pool committee email: pool@thewedgewoodclub.org
The main pool is open for free swim in the afternoons, starting at 1:00pm.
In August, after swim lessons have concluded for the season, the main pool is open for free swim in the morning starting at 10:00am.
The lifeguards will ask children under 16 to leave the pool for 15 minutes at the top of the hour, for “adult swim”.
For more information on free swim hours check the Club Hours page.
Wedgewood’s swim and dive teams compete in the Colonial League against Concord, Westford, Wayland, and Chelmsford.
Swim Team runs from June until the first week in August and culminates with a league championship.
The Swim Team is a welcoming group that focuses on improving a swimmer’s own performance while having lots of fun. To learn more about Swim and Dive Teams refer to the information found on this website.
The main pool is open for adult lap swimming in the early mornings from late June until early August. In addition, a dedicated lap lane is available during free swim.
Check the bulletin board to log your lap swim miles during the summer and compete with other lap swimmers.
Lap swimming is not available during Swim Team practice or Swim Lessons. See the Club Hours page for complete information on lap swim times.
